Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre:

MUSICAL THEATRE HAS THE POWER TO CREATE EMPOWERING MOMENTS THROUGH THE MAGIC OF STORYTELLING.

Through our musical theatre program we aim to build their confidence and develop their individual artistic talents. Every child is unique and deserve an opportunity to develop into the performer and they person they aspire to be. Musical theatre is unique in that there is so much variety. In every class or rehearsal performers develop their dance skills and choreography, drama games, acting exercises and singing training. A wonderful blend of activities to develop not just performance abilities but life skills.

Performance Classes
Our Performance classes were established to take students on a journey from casting a musical, to piecing it together in all the singing, dancing and acting that a show includes, and finally to performing it. Students will work in this class on a new show every semester, with a team of directors, musical directors, choreographers and sometimes even special guests! Performances take place at the end of each semester at our auditorium in Templestowe and local festivals.

Major Musical Productions
Major Musical Productions Our musical productions are established to provide young performers a platform to develop and showcase their skills in performing arts through acting, singing and dancing. In this program, all cast members are required to audition, and casting is completed by the artistic and producing team. We aim to produce 2 shows every year, generally one for the younger students of the company and then an open age selection. Being a part of these shows requires dedication and commitment to all weekly rehearsals, weekend and holiday workshops.

Showtime fees are separate from all other classes and performances take place at various theatre venues across Melbourne.
